Variety characteristics:

• 790 Dwarf Controversy Tomato is another standout dwarf selection from Bill Yoder, and it earned a spot in our top 10 for the 2023 growing season. This mid-to-late season variety has rugose potato-leaf foliage and grows to about 3-4 ft tall, making it a strong choice for container gardens. The plants produce large black cherry tomatoes with rich, complex flavor that balances sour, tangy, sweet, and lightly savory notes. These fruits are especially good for fresh snacking and salads, offering both visual appeal and a truly distinctive taste. A great option for growers who want a productive dwarf tomato with personality.
