Hoya WG-073 Unrooted Stem Cutting

Overview
The Hoya WG-073 is a rare and visually striking cultivar that commands attention with its silver-speckled foliage and charming star-shaped blooms. This WG-073 exhibits a compact growth habit, making it an excellent choice for both small indoor spaces and creative vertical displays. With its reliable re-blooming nature and low-maintenance care requirements, this Hoya is a rewarding addition to any plant collection.

Key Features
• Distinctive Silver-Speckled Foliage – Lanceolate leaves are densely dotted with silvery-gray speckles, creating a unique and eye-catching texture that remains attractive even when the plant is not in bloom.
• Charming Floral Display – Produces small, neat, rounded umbels featuring delicate pale pink petals with a vivid deep red star-shaped core, offering a beautiful two-tone contrast.
• Reliable Re-Blooming Habit – Unlike many flowering plants, this Hoya re-blooms from the same pedicel year after year. Simply remove spent blooms while keeping the stalk intact, and new flowers will emerge the following season.

Growing Instructions
• Light – Thrives in bright, indirect light. Avoid direct afternoon sun, which may scorch the leaves. Lower light levels may reduce flowering.
• Watering – Allow the top 2–3 cm of soil to dry out between waterings. Reduce watering in winter months. Overwatering is the most common cause of failure.
• Soil & Potting – Once rooted, transfer to a well-aerated, chunky potting mix (e.g., orchid bark, perlite, and peat-based soil). Ensure the pot has adequate drainage to prevent root rot.
• Pruning & Aftercare – After blooming, trim off faded blossoms while carefully preserving the pedicel (flower stalk). This will encourage re-blooming from the same stalk the following year.

Why Choose Hoya WG-073?
The striking contrast between its silver-dusted leaves and the delicate pink-and-red blooms makes it a visual centerpiece in any setting. Its compact, climbing nature allows for creative displays – whether mounted on a wooden frame, cascading from a hanging planter, or trained along a trellis. For collectors and beginners alike, this Hoya delivers both aesthetic appeal and growing satisfaction.
