Sweet Xiao Wen F5 Tomato Seeds – Bright, Glossy Purple Fruits, Perfect for Fresh Eating and Salads

Overview

Sweet Xiao Wen F5 Tomato is a cherry tomato variety that combines high visual appeal with excellent flavor. After multiple generations of selection to the F5 generation, its traits are stable, and every plant performs consistently. The ripe fruits display a bright purple color with a glossy surface, round and petite in shape, closely resembling large cherries – whether growing in the garden or arranged on a serving plate, they are exceptionally eye-catching.

The first bite brings a pleasant surprise. The skin is so thin that it is almost imperceptible, offering a smooth, skinless texture like that of fresh sweet cherries. The flesh is clean, sweet, and well-balanced – refreshing without being cloying. It is perfect for snacking straight from the vine or adding a vibrant touch to salads. With a single fruit weight of 15–25 grams, it is on the larger side among cherry tomatoes, making each bite satisfying.

Key Features

• Stable F5 Genetics: After five generations of selection, plant type, fruit weight, fruit color, and flavor are highly uniform, ensuring reliable cultivation results.

• Bright Purple High Ornamental Value: Ripe fruits display a vivid, glossy purple color with a sleek, round shape – extremely high ornamental value.

• Ultra-Thin Skin: The skin is as thin as a cicada's wing, almost unnoticeable when eaten, without the tough, chewy skin that often troubles regular cherry tomatoes.

• Clean, Sweet Flavor: The taste is pure and pleasantly sweet with a balanced sugar-to-acid ratio – enjoyed by both children and adults.

• Continuous Fruiting: As an indeterminate variety, the vines keep extending, producing fruits continuously from early summer until the first frost – a steady, endless supply.

Cultivation Guidelines

• Staking is Essential: As a vining variety, it needs to be supported with bamboo poles, netting, or strings to maintain good air circulation and light exposure, and to make harvesting easier.

• Growing Environment: Suitable for open-ground cultivation, greenhouses, or large containers – full sun exposure is essential.

• Water and Fertilizer Management: Keep soil evenly moist to avoid cracking caused by alternating dryness and wetness. Apply balanced fertilizer regularly throughout the growing period.

• Pruning Suggestions: Can be trained to a single stem; remove side shoots (suckers) promptly to concentrate nutrients on fruit development.
